Ski Wax For Skate Ledges

Probably just gonna end up trying it myself but has anyone used ski wax (0° --> -10°) for ledges?

Lmk if it works good.

if you have a shit ton laying around it’s worth it. otherwise use candles. the softer wax the better unless you can use a torch or something(heat gun?) to melt it into the ledge. done this for skiing more than skating but some idea i think.

You can buy parofin wax at the grocery story for like a dollar it’s good skate wax

and yeah the melting it in is really only necessary for a ‘new’ ledge if it’s been waxed before you won’t need to

fr. helps fill up those gaps. i’ve seen people using some sort of stone file block thing to smooth em out too.

Unless you're rich af, or have a plug on free ski wax I'd say don't do this. There's a billion cheaper waxes that should work just as well. A cheap candle even. Keep you good ski wax for your skis.
