Dalbello Lupo AX120 all around boot?

I’ve got the AX 120’s and I love them. Pretty much 75/25 inbounds/out. They’re not a true 120 for stiffness though (maybe a 100-110). I had the Lupo TI’s but needed a wider last for my left foot.

when you're skiing inbounds are you using just a standard alpine binding?

I ride mine every day. With pivots on my resort skis riding in the park/freeride or with shifts on slack or full tours.

The walk mode is aight but not that good unless you take the tongues out (which is real good) - usually only do that for long approaches and then don’t bother taking the tongues out for laps back up.

I want to say they felt really upright at first - took some getting used to but it’s no thought now. I’ve heard of people modding the walk lever with shims to increase the angle. Like homie above said, they really don’t feel like a full 120 flex either. Thats been fine with me but you could get a stiffer resort liner if you wanted to.

I have jester pro’s on my inbounds skis and a set of duke pt 12 on the deep/fat skis.

I skied them for a season and liked them a lot. Very light, the stock liners were too flimsy for me so I put an intuition LV Dreamliner in the boot. Was much better...but...for me they were too soft. I would say they ski DH more like a 110. But like is said it is a great boot.

I got a pair of the LUPO Pro HD which uses PU/POLYAMIDE for the lowers but are stiffer, lower and heaver. i was willing to accept the trade off. I have been on the Pro HD for two seasons now and am very happy with their DH performance.


My suggestion is go to a shop and check them out. There are a few options in the LUPO line that may suit what you are looking for.
