Earbuds?

What do you guys think? Rocked skullcandys forever because cheap and good enough but I really hate sll the newer ones, even older newer ones.

When they added the google assistant button it ruined them.

Looking for some earbuds that are easy to pause and skip songs. If it has a google assistant button out of the way that's fine, but I'll never be using it while skiing.

Just want something that works good for that.

Dude at target I found some Sony wireless ones for 10$ and they have worked the dream no complaints for 10bucks. Honestly have lost a little volume in 1 ear but I’ve skied them for 3 months or so now. For 10$ Super good value and have a little thing to skip pause/play and for volume.

I’ve been rocking the Skullcandy Indys for a while now and they’re gas, they work great and I don’t ever accidentally trigger google assistant. No wires and sweat/water resistant is awesome

I don’t get how people ski with Bluetooth buds in, as soon as I slam my wired ones fall out, hell if I’m skiing fast enough they’ll fall out from the wind

They got like the wire that wraps around the neck and I wear a head band so I put them in and make sure the head band kinda holds them in place, then zip up my jacket with the wrap around thing in my jacket like below the neck thing and it works pretty well haven’t lost them yet

Stock apple earbuds had the wu-tang bumpin so good, just had to try something cool.

Whats the setup for play pause though. Some of skull candys ones have it all on one piece and even chilling with bare hands st the lift it's nearly impossible to correctly use to pause and skip.

It's such a big fuck up it makes me want to steer away from skullcandys in the future honestly. If you're going to promote your shit for riding butbit doesnt work for it. Fuck.

Their old one's were fine. When they incorporated the google assistant action it went to shit. Honesty who the fuck wants that when they're skiing. I'm sure somebody that calls people a bunch on the mtn and can't take out their phone will argue that they need it but come on.

Idk i like the buds but skullcandy had been pissing me off.

Honestly, I've been using AirPods for the past couple of seasons without any issues. I've taken some massive crashes with them in and never lost them.

The only problem is the battery life is pretty meh.

I use AirPods. Normally have the tube over the head so they stay locked in place but Tuesday I just had the helmet on over them and it was never an issue.


If you get the ones that have the chargeable case they’ll last all day long. And the dopest feature is the noise cancelling. You can go into settings and reverse the tech so it actually brings outside noises in to the earbuds (noise cancellation > mode > transparency). You’ll be able to hear the homies, the lifties, and the chair shouters clear as day as long as your music isn’t full blast. Makes it so you never really need to pause music.

regular apple earbuds, they have the little button controller on them that makes it easy to pause play and change volume. They are exactly like AirPods, but cheap, don't run out of battery, and you don't have to worry about loosing them if you wipeout.

Random but I feel relevant question. Do they work on any phone or has apple rigged them to only work with iphones?

Also kind if try to avoid apple stuff because of how shot the whole different charger, different this, and intentionally making things not compatible to keep people hooked. The cell phone industry went to a stand or standards now and apple was like nah dawg we're too different to work with anything else. Kinda rubs me the wrong way.

I've excepted that earbuds are an expendable, non-durable item. No matter what brand or how much I spent I would ve shopping for new ones in a few months. Oddly the longest lasting ones I've as of late are the free ones Delta hands out on flights. Been using those since August.
