Young_pattyCorn is harvested in the fall doofus
ReturnToMonkeyI was talking to a family from North Carolina at Big Sky last week about how I prefer sunny spring laps over cold smoke powder days and they just couldn't comprehend. I thought of anyone who would understand, it'd be tourists on 85 underfoot rental skis preferring nice weather but I guess not. I bet they see more footage of powder shots that are unobtainable to the normal person, and don't think about how accessible it is to just do hot laps with your homies after watching some rad spring park shoots.
BiffbarfStill sore from making the mountain fuckin bleed sunday. Nothin like layin down sicknasty carves when shit gets slushy. That said will be psyched if CO gets dumped on in the next few days. Crop needs replenishing to sustain the people!
SavageBiffNot the corn you ski!
SavageBiffRippers like the sunny hot lap days, I had 5 blue days and 1 6” pow day at a basin this year, no lines , those blue days rippin were the best!
family from sc just wants to get a selfie in some snow.
weastcoastIsn’t corn and slush the same thing

ericformanYo you hit a basin! Nice! How wild is that mountain? So much sustained steep vertical right from the base. People in CO be bitching about conditions and traffic and shit nonstop and I'm like you all realize you got world class terrain 60 miles away with free parking, almost no lines, unbelievable views, and a $400 season pass right? I guess it takes years of skiing in the rain on the east coast to appreciate it.
SavageBiffYessir and it was the best time of my life. They had a low snow year but the quality of the snow crushed anything I’ve skied out east in years. Everything was open but the east wall, slopes were rippin, Chunder, chop, hardpack, packed pow, drops everywhere, and unknown terrain, I was a kid in wonderland, the lightning trees still had some soft, the cornice on zuma was a dope drop and few long hard chattery carves, the zuma cornice and slopes omg loved it, beavers were steep but mellow enough I did a pretend fwt against imaginary competitors threw a 3 placed 2nd tho judge was tough, palli was rippin, there was a mogul contest, they closed the lenawee lift for 10 minutes had a heli blowing avy charges on the east wall, I viewed it from the lenawee lift right below the east wall, there were no lines anywhere , only need a pass to get up the front face, parking to lift is so close and quick, got complimented on my gear and my skiing by some damn good skiers which is nice for an east coast boy, no one at snowshoe knows wtf moment is, they think I’m rippin on unknown junk, stayed at an aight best western 7d/$600 great view, ate a bunch of good bison and elk, people are all sooo cool, met so many people, like out east ppl be mean muggin, I met more people in 7 days at the basin than my whole life here, and in town everyone was cool, will be returning 👍🏻👍🏻
ReturnToMonkeyCorn is soft chewed up snow that isn't soaking wet with water like slush is. Slush is more like a drink while corn you could crunch on
ReturnToMonkeyOof that's tough, placing 2nd in your own contest. I feel tho. All jokes aside, A Basin fuckin rocks I'm really glad they pulled out of their partnership with Vail and Ikon doesn't seem to have changed them too much. Can't wait to ski there again.

kamiI'm glad they finally have RFID cards
kamiI'm glad they finally have RFID cards
SavageBiffJust on the fs, backside is just ski on no checks. I actually have to whip my pass out tho, doesn’t scan thru my shell or bibs, at any resort, so I’m always ripping gloves off on way to lift line to get it out
kamiAh RFID fixed having to take my pass out for me. I just have it in my pants pocket and lift my leg up.

zeke.obliqueAbay got no park tho and it’s not fun on groomer days
ericformanYea I hit eldora for park days, but I suck at park. Heavy directional skis with metal make skiing steeps / bumps in shit conditions still pretty fun tho...if your idea of fun isn't always jumping off stuff.
SavageBiffBut I love jumping off stuff with my heavy metal skis... wouldn’t feel comfortable on noodles doing what I do in my commanders
ericformanBEAST. I’m soft. Those skis look sick

Evantheshredstercan’t tell if you’re serious
SavageBiffIf you had read a few more posts down you’d have gotten your answer...

SavageBiffI can’t always read every post either, shit tends to jump topic here a lot, I’m just as guilty as you , I’ve done it, like the how to pronounce On3p thread, omg I lost precious iq in that one.
