Praxis Skis

I have recently adventured onto TGR and after creating an account i found the creme de le crop of all threads the ‘quiver thread’ and i know NS has a quiver thread but my god its like putting a fetus in the ring with a heavyweight champion its just not fair. And so a ski company that came up a lot next to On3p, Kastle, Moment and DPS was a really interesting company called praxis skis, they have really interesting shapes and customization for skis and was wondering what they are like? Do you own a pair? Should i justify buying some even though i don't need them?

They are made out of a rented garage in Incline Village, NV in Tahoe. I used to go to the local dive bar and had no idea Praxis was in the same parking lot. They make some burly skis. Everyone I know who has ridden them, has liked them.

I almost won a pair of the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale GPOs. I was one raffle ticket off and I SPLIT the tickets between myself and a guy I knew. I was gutted.
He sold them. Prick.

target seems to be big mountain, I've been tempted getting a praxi GPO for sale locally, but 187s... so small :|

also I have more big mountain skis... than I big mountain :p

I’ve seen one or two pairs in person and they’ve looked pretty cool.
i seem to remember a guy slaying a fwt run on them but just crashing on the piste back to the base

Think you're thinking of Drew Tabke. He makes praxis skis look pretty damn good lol

They are pretty popular around Tahoe for sure, and very popular on TGR.

Ive owned a pair of ultralight freerides, and currently use the ultralight backcountry as my bc ski. They are pretty amazing. Definitely rip especially for the weight.

Ive never skied anything other than the ultralight versions unfortunately, but all I've heard is that they are even better, more damp and stable. Ive wanted a pair of GPO's for a long time....just never got around to getting a pair.
