SueshitskiI tour on Sakanas. I know one other guy that tours on Sakanas and loves them. I've never needed a wider ski while touring. The Sakana is pretty good for casual missions I think. I have shifts and kick the breaks down all the time which I think might be due to the big difference between nose/waist/tail widths but also I think shifts have that issue generally. Just bought a second pair of Sakanas to replace the first for when I break them (the edge is separating from the base but that's because I dropped off a cliff onto a tree stump and damaged the base a while ago and its been slowly worsening ever since).
I also tour on Sakanas with shifts and they are a blast! Super surfy and fun in pow/corn, also are great on the skin track. I love Line and hate to report it, but I'm also on my second pair (2019/2020 version) where the edge has compressed is separating from the base (with zero core shot damage) after about 14 days on them. Not one rail grind and minor rock strikes. Not sure what's up or if I'm unlucky, but bases and sidewalls seem a little bit thin and fragile on these skis. There's also a review with a similar situation on Evo. Evo did warranty and send me a new pair the first time around and I'm hoping for the same on the second. Their customer service and speediness with the whole process was outstanding and Line has a two year warranty which is dope. I have a pair of 2012 Mr. Pollard's Opus, they have been through the ringer (rocks, rails, pond skims, two mounts) are still skiing great and are seemingly indestructible.
