She’s been a border but now trying to pick up skiing(hot right). But anyways I know for buying boots go to a boot fitter and all that shit. But for a beginner is getting a used boot that bad? I’ve gotten lucky myself with a boot but don’t want her to get fucked in a shitty boot and hate it

Go to a fitter. Her boots should be pretty cheap cause she won’t need a strong flex

I bought used boots all the way up till I was like 20. Some were great, others sucked (fit/comfort wise), its certainly a gamble when going used.

do you have a Play It Again Sports or any other second hand shop like that?

people on here will tell you it's a rule with no ifs ands or buts-- ""go to a bootfitter!"-- and it's fine advice but if your girlfriend is just trying skiing out and/or doesn't have much money to put toward it, it can def be worth it to go see if a used boot fits her and save hundreds

True, cause I feel it’s just a waste to buy new if she’s going to outgrow it in a season. We have some stores near us so I’ll check those out

if you dont get her good boots, you will be getting fucked, not her.

I would say buying used or a season rental are a good way to go for somejuan who is just learning

hell 99% of tourists renting at the mountain shop aren't in a properly fitting boot and they do just fine
