byuboundI feel like it's solid as far as midsize trucks go. Seats in the back have decent enough legroom to be useable even for longer road trips and stuff and there is loads of underseat storage. One issue though is that there are no air vents in the back, which kinda sucks for passengers

Twinjibber77I was so in for the diesel colorado and then a diesel tech I work with talked me out of it (2-ish years ago, I think). I finally saw one in real life the other day and I can't say I'm bummed I didn't get it. I'll never forget him saying "You think you're getting an American Hilux, but you're just getting a small Chevy truck with an engine that you're testing for them and for way more than you should pay".
I was between the Colorado/Tacoma/Ranger. What are your thoughts on the interior size/storage/usability of the Colorado? For a few days I was really into the Ranger, but when I saw how the backseat worked IRL, I was convinced it was the dumbest midsize on the market at the time.

DolansLebensraumI dont like dodges but if i did buy a diesel truck i would buy a dodge bc cummins are genocidally good. I dont know if they are as good as the international truck diesel engines that ford used to have on their pre-2003 7.3 liter trucks But Cummins has been making huge marine diesel engines for many decades that are bulletproof. I would trust them way more than house-engineered bullshit from modern ford or gm trucks
if you really want to know how bad american engineered diesels are you should know that gm and ford are in cahoots with the epa to ban volkswagon from being able to import cars like their 90 mpg polo from europe because it will shit all over american cars and drive ford sales and gm sales into the ground as everybody buys the 90 mpg prius-sized vw polo or 87 mpg audi a2.
the cynicism of people whos self esteem gets destroyed by the idea that germans are naturally better enginereers than redneck americans is one of the driving forces behind why i rep german engineering so much. The more you send credit to those who deserve it, the more efficient your civilization becomes and the easier the lives of everybody become.
I would love to buy a 90 mpg vw polo in america so i could take a cross country road trip on just 30 gallons of diesel fuel.
i mean seriously, you can drive a vw polo from nyc to san fran and only fill up once.
But the gaping vaginas in the EPA wont let me buy the vw polo. They say its because diesel is dirty but that is bullshit. Diesel is cleaner than gas and has less emissions. The EPA makes these arbitrary emission rules to protect the low iq american engineers products from being crushed by better more efficient nazi shit from the fatherland.
I cant stand political correctness.
germany south korea and japan have the highest national avg iqs in the world. And their engineering dominates the planet, what a coincidence!
the political correctness machine is so desperate that they spam the fuck out of the planet with false iq statistics that hide the realities of german, japanese, and south korean superiority
if you want the best euro statistics this article discusses the best iq study of the european population.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-381057/European-IQ-map-proves-Brits-brainy.html
if you look at the engineering of low iq countries as well, you will find that it sucks.
the political correctness mafia is so desperate these days its hilarious. They would probable consider what im saying here to be hate speech; just shows how they know they arent defending a worldview that is rooted in reality. The occams razor truth rings hard when you hear things like “high iq countries have great engineering”. It makes so much sense when you hear it that the pc left calls it hatespeech and tries to disqualify it because they know in a fair discussion their “all humans are created equal” worldview is incredibly unreasonable, let alone completely murdered by empirical evidence.

TnskiWhat i don't understand is why their usually 5.5' tall
dogfartstainta tune alone can get u an extra 100 hp. Only problem is you need a built transmission for much more which is $
Mtuhockey33QFT. I’d absolutely love to have a polo. I was looking at them back in the late 2000’s as a college car. It’s absolutely fucked that we have wayyyy more efficient vehicles out there but the government won’t let you have them because we need to protect our shitty American made cars (most American made stuff is top-tier shit but our auto industry is in shambles compared to Germany and Japan). I always wanted a 90’s skyline V-spec II nür..... I thought those were the coolest cars (I was a fast and furious skyline fanboy) but the fact you couldn’t get them here in the US because of “emissions” was bullshit. It was just too easy to mod the fuck outta them to get 1,200hp like a Supra and cops couldn’t touch them.
Casey
BigPurpleSkiSuitAre they actually making this?
JAHpowI'm in Florida rn and I am very amused at the amount of duelly trucks down here with no hitches

safarisamLike without a hitch rack or just don’t have a ball on rn? Sometimes if we are t hauling we take ours out.
No.QuarterWhat gets me is when you see a ball hitch that looks like it has never ever been used
StainrYou don't need a built trans with a 100hp tune. 300hp tune, yes. Or if any truck with a 68rfe you need a built trans stock. lol

TnskiThe chevy Ford dodge debate but all three are made in America so why wast your time should be American made or foreign made debate. Dummies
Lemuellmao my power wagon buddy is like 5'6"
ReturnToMonkeyI feel attacked. What's wrong with short people? We didn't choose this

LemuelHahah nothing wrong with being short, but when you drive a mall crawler you are highlighting your height to everyone.
byuboundActually, this year the Honda ridgeline had the greatest percentage of the production process completed in america. The toyota trucks also consistently place really well in these rankings.
safarisamI agree with this. The only thing I wish the back had was air vents. I can do a pretty decent job of getting mine to hit back there thankfully.
legroom is nice, I can store stuff under the seats. I’m a fan of the Colorado. Brother has a Tacoma, I like my seats better.
CaseyIs your Colorado the extended cab? My work truck Colorado has the god damn seatbelt for the driver anchored to the jumper door in the back so you can’t open the back doors without first opening the driver door (whatever ever ext is like that) AND taking your seat belt off. Also if you get a door ajar message you have to basically pull over and get out of the vehicle to fix it because the jumper doors have to be slammed with 11/10 force to latch hard enough to not trigger the door sensor. Everything else about it is fine I just seriously hate the doors and the seatbelt config. It’s a 2016
safarisamYeah mine is the extended cab, the seatbelt doesn’t operate that way though. I’d be annoyed with that. Is yours a z71? Mine is a 2016 as well.
CaseyNo it’s like a base model fleet vehicle maybe that is why
SlitherySnakeay nissan got that japanese engineering with cummins motor so basically a better dodge unless you need a 1 ton, a dually, or you're hauling crazy weight and need an absolute honker

BrandoComandoHate to break it to you but the Cummins diesel Titans got discontinued. They use a special 5.0 V8 Turbodiesel that kinda sucked. It's not the Inline 6 turbodiesel Cummins motors that Dodge uses.
"Nissan declined to share any estimates of how many Titan XD diesel pickups it's sold over the years, as the brand does not disclose sales figures for particular powertrains or build configurations. The fact that the Cummins is leaving the market after such a short period of time is perhaps the best indicator of how buyers received the engine option"
Besides, the new Dodge platform is objectively great. Even reliability has been stronger than Ford or Chevy lately according to Consumer Reports. FCA stepped it up with their new trucks. I'm not a fanboy, I just like reading and watching car reviews. The Titan struggles to sell against the big 3 American trucks. The hauling and tow numbers just don't compete, and the Toyota Tundra has a stronger brand name and resale as far as the Japanese offerings.
SlitherySnakebahahahaha yeah I would buy a dodge over a titan i was just poking fun
that’s disappointing they got rid of the cummins though those things will probably last a million years
byuboundI'd be so stoked if this thing ever came into production
r00kieNobody looks at Nissan and sees quality the way they do a Toyota. Not are brands of a nation are equal.
dogfartstaintDoes anyone drive a deleted diesel? Thinking about deleting mine for better mileage. Buddy of mine deleted his and is getting like 10 more mpg on highways now.
StainrDepends on what truck you have. I've deleted my last 2 new trucks within 500 miles. 17+ 6.7 fords dont get any better fuel mileage deleted. At least i didn't notice. Your buddy did not get 10 mpg better deleted lol.
Profahoben_212Glad my dakota is an 8. Don't drive it much but it's nice being able to rip boats out the water/take em to town, pull someone out a ditch, fill it up with rocks, or toss a trailer on her.
Profahoben_212Yo what's up with all the SD homie joining? It's hype! Been the only one for years.
Great bear or terry?
ViehwegGreat Bear sadly, are you going to be at Terry Friday or Saturday?
