First 540 being a switch 540

So I recently learned 4 way 3s and I’m thinking about sending some 5s once I’m comfortable. For some reason I feel like a switch 5 would be easier because it seems less scary. I just need to figure out how to spin faster switch because I’m gonna learn on a homemade jump.

For me spinning fast switch is way harder than landing switch. I just did a bunch of 180s until I was really comfortable landing switch then sent a regular 5. It’s pretty similar feeling to doing a 4 out from a 2 out, you just set a little harder and rotate/ lead with your head more to spot your landing

Sw spins are way more fun. If you can switch 3 just keep looking over your shoulder and they come right around

I’d argue the reg 5 is easier because you can spot the landing the entire time.

My first 5 was a sw 5. I used to only be able to spin comfortably switch tho. Hoping to land a sw 7 this year, never done a regular 7 and dont plan to.
Something about taking off and not being blind right away makes me feel better.

Update: I was mad because I wasn’t landing switch 3s so I decided to huck a forward 5.

Sorry the lightings bad. Anyways I got it first try and landed 4 in a row so I think switch 5s will be learned soon, thanks for the advice!

My first 720 was a switch 7. Cork 5 was switch cork 5 and a switch cork 7 was done 5 years before the cork 7.

I learned a lot on a homemade jump but a medium sized park jump will make it easier, theres only so much you can do on a jump that size. if youre trying to up the rotation, a slightly bigger/better jump will make it a lot easier.

I recently upped the size of my homemade jump so I’m hoping to learn some switch 5s soon

ya I learned sw 5s first cause I felt more comfortable landing forward. But I started trying to learn reg 5s and honestly feels harder for me for some reason. Sent it to 720 trying to do a reg 5 which was actually really cool but overall for some reason doing it switch was easier for me
