Anyone ever participated in this? Sounds fucking wildly grueling to lap that chair for 10hrs straight.

Pali enduro? Sounds like a tuesday to me


But fer real, it would be fun to try just to have that experience. I wonder if the meta is to take the groomer to conserve energy or take a well rehearsed line down standard/international for the most direct route

Looks like standard is are far as you can go. I guess you get some grizzly road in exchange for bigger bumps. The face is probably easiest. But I would die. 3 hours of Pali leaves me beat.

It’s a 2 seater and you ride with a partner as part of the contest so presumably you just ride together unless you think your friend has the Rona and may make out with you on the chair.

Most anyone I've asked if they wanna ride up rode with me when there was a line. Most peeps are shy or don't wanna ask strangers tho so the singles move kinda slow. I have no idea what it looks like on enduro day.

Supposedly the record is 69 laps.

Nice.

I BELIEVE that get first dibs on chairs, like ski patrol. Skip the line. Also, when you ski down, you have to ski certain routes equally. In other words, you can't just lap the easiest or fastest line down Pali.

looks like the map doesn't allow that. Idk how fast the groomers would be anyways because they kinda dogleg around. No groomers here besides the cat track between the drop in to the lines 1-9

That'd be SICK if it was... but its Ptarmigan Hill by Vail Pass. The weather station and Ptarmigan Hill proper are in the background. Pretty good sled-skiin.
