I’ve kinda noticed recently that in a lot of my tricks that involve any kind of rotation, I’m relying way too much on just winding up my arms and hucking. With just shoes I can do a full 360 pretty easily without moving my hands at all (I think most of it comes from my toes and ankles), and 180s on skis I don’t use any arms either, but anything above a 180 I spin mainly with my arms for some reason. I think I mainly kinda realized this bad habit after trying 540s for the first time in a while and I just kinda found myself throwing my arms as hard as I possibly could and either bring off balance and sloppy or just not landing it at all.
Anyone have any suggestions on how to overcome this? I took a long break from jumps and now it’s like I’m learning this stuff all over again.
