SIP CR. Still one of the coolest dudes I ever met. He was a great guy, skier and friend. CR basically pulled Tanner back from the edge when he was injured and hooked on painkillers. Somehow deep down I think he knew he was on borrowed time after his first injury and made it a point to be this amazing person who inspired everyone around him.
Also respect to @4FRNT for giving him a chance and his own pro model after his injury. I talked to him for a while after he first got signed and he was so stoked to be able to design his own ski.
nyckierAgainst all odds I was able to find these new in packaging, come to think of it almost a year ago to the day. No way I'm ever letting them go. RIP CRJ
The CRJs are awesome skis. They are super playful and can slarve and pivot on a dime, especially for 118 underfoot. I used to rock them at Snowbird and would just swing them around in super tight rock sections and trees. The tails are perfect on them too, there have been a number of times I got backseat after a cliff drop or booter and the skis just kind of levitate you back forward. There was even a cliff drop at Mineral Basin that I hit a few times with my old stiff VCTs and washed out every time. After lunch I swapped out my CRJs and stomped it first time back. They are pretty soft but unless its super choppy I never had an issue with them.
