slap some epoxy or sum on it and it'll keep any water out of your skis

Yeah, you don't want the wood bit in the middle to get wet.

What did you do to cause this?

I landed on a rock and I think the impact broke it. It has just grown fast after that.

def go with an epoxy like the other dudes said but i'd also but also cut the pieces that are sticking up so it doesn't continue to tear and get bigger. you can cut the pieces with some nail clippers if you don't have any tools around

I think a lot of water is in my ski. I just weighed them and looked at it more and it is definitely heavier than the other ski. What does this do to the ski if the core is wet

Means your core is gonna rot, skis will break. Good luck dude

Just let it dry thoroughly before repairing, a few days in a warm dry place.

Yeah from what you described, it does sound like they were esposed to water. Like other poster said - dry and warm place for a few days
