We rarely eat any kind of grains like rice or potatoes aside from the occasional Chipotle trip etc. Anyway, I feel much better, I am sharper and despite not working out much (Two Kids) I still stay in shape. Also important note: READ EVERY INGREDIENT. Food manufacturers put all sorts of bullshit in your food from "Natural Flavors" that trick your brain into craving it despite tasting like shit to trans fats and other bad stuff. Once you quit eating Natural Flavors you can actually taste it in food and its pretty nasty stuff. Even a lot of Organic Foods have it too.

Its interesting but having my Wife breast feed our baby really turned me off to dairy products. Something about watching a Human drink Human milk gives you this perspective like, "Fuck thats pretty gross im drinking the same thing... but for a cow."

Basically, in your 20s you can get away with almost anything you do to yourself but as soon as you hit 30 your body will fall apart and you will 100% get a beer gut if you drink. By 30 you have also seen enough of the grim meathook realities of your buddies that never made it through that lifestyle and fucked their lives up.

While I certainly agree with the general sentiment that eating habits are key to longevity and good health, and processed food are shit, I'm not sold on a lot of your points, stated or implied, simply because of lack of scientific data to back them up (as far as I know):

- "you will 100% get a beer gut if you drink". Sure if you drink beer everyday, you'll likely get a beer gut, but drinking occasionally will not "100% give you a beer gut". In fact, wine for example even has health benefits. My understanding is that occasional alcohol consumption isn't particularly unhealthy.

- Similarly, I have yet to see scientific proof that gluten or dairy are bad for those who tolerate it. Of course if you don't tolerate it then it's a different story. Dairy products usually have tons of fat though, so same logic, moderate consumption is best.

- You also seem to imply rice, potatoes and grains are unhealthy, first I'm hearing about that one.

The 100% get a beer gut is just me being hyperbolic. Drinking the occasional beer wont give you a gut but most of the people my age that drink beer regularly sure do and many work out more than I do. The problem with alcohol is your body turns it into sugar then stores it as fat. Beer is also made from Modern Wheat which is a hybrid version in America that they are finding causes problems with out GI track. Its interesting because I can drink the occasional German beer and feel fine but If I drink domestic beer I feel like garbage.

I simply feel better not eating gluten. I actually think its more our modern hybridized wheat that we created in the 1960s that is bad for us. When I cut out wheat and gluten I actually had to go a notch lower on my belt from the weight I lost on my midsection with no real other change in exercise of lifestyle. I am of the opinion that eating fat does not actually make you fat, its the carbs and sugar that build up in your blood that are not used that your body converts to fat.

Rice, Potatoes and Grains are ok in moderation but again, if your not burning off those carbs they are stored as fat in the body.

Anyway, that is just my .02. I know there are dozens of diets and schools of thought on what to eat but I found something that is sustainable and works for me.

sqeellicbicNothing wrong with tripping very infrequently for fun. I've done my fair share and people who go on about how tripping is such a spiritual experience are so full of themselves. Like nah, you trip for 6 hours and have an extremely fun time but in a week or two you're the exact same person you were before you tripped. Someone claiming they trip for "spiritual reasons" or to "connect with themselves" or anything along those lines is just trying to feel better about their drug use. But like I said, there's nothing wrong with doing it occasionally for fun. But its only that and nothing else. Just fun.

TOAST.I think there is something to the type of wheat we use. Around the same time my wife was just starting to think she had a gluten intolerance (probably celiac), we went to germany and was not affected nearly as much by the bread there. Now she has cut out all gluten and feels much better all the time. The bread we were eating there was also much fresher, so that may have something to do with it as well.

SuspiciousFishSame here. MDMA actually changed my life the first time I took it. I became this perfect version of myself with no fear, self doubt or insecurities and I just made it a point to live like that from then on. It is what got me into meditation and living mindfully including getting rid of TV, Social Media etc.
