Is Dillon probably the best place to stay for that area? Hoping to hit copper, winter park, and abasin in the next couple weeks.

Those are my plans, got days reserved all over, you can stay in Dillon, frisco, Silverthorne or breck and be really close to all those places

Yep exactly. The one exception is WP which is kind of its own thing, but you wouldn't want to stay in WP / Fraser and then try to drive to Copper / Abasin consistently especially on big snow days. If you stay in dillon / frisco / silverthorne / breck maybe do a day at WP just to check it out (park at the Jane). WP recently got its best terrain open, so would be worth a day. And you can always do a mellow tour on berthoud too (avy conditions permitting) if you are into that.

Also, if you got an ikon pass and just want to explore you could check out Eldora. It's a small mountain, windy, way less snow and vert, but they have been trying really hard to build a great park. Hard drive from summit easy drive from the front range. No reason to go unless you just like exploring and got time on your hands. I've just been super hyped on Eldora cause it doesn't require i70 from denver / boulder and the park is solid with a great vibe so have generally just been trying to get people to go. Occasionally a storm will roll in with east winds and hit eldora with 10 inches and everything else with 0 (its on the east side of the divide) but its pretty rare.

Just to put it out there, copper is defo way more fun in terms of all mountain terrain, bowl skiing and park significantly better than winter park. Granted winter park does have some insane runs but mountain gets old fast compared to copper. But I do gotta say Winter park has a shitty park compared to copper. Abay has sick views but it’s only good if there’s somewhat fresh snow, although no park if that’s a factor. And Eldora which is not near the other mountains is like a east coast mountain with a great Woodward park. And also If your thinking about going to keystone for the park also they have a shite park now so don’t do it.

Maybe wait a few days to get acclimatized first? You are at 13k feet hiking the east wall, still i think you can get to the top of the hike (probably not top of a run) by 10 minutes.

WP everyday. I used to just spend the entire day in Mary Jane. Timeless fun

Good advice, I arrive Sunday so should be good by Tuesday, I usually only experience minor altitude sickness, usually only a slight dizziness when I wake up that clears in about an hour, but I’ve never done a hike over 6000’ so we will see.
