does anyone else kinda think that offseason pick-ups might be awesome this offseason? like there has got to be a ton of people who got into skiing as another outdoor sport like people did with biking in the summer that will be offing their gear cuz its just too busy of a sport to justify as a hobby haha.

I am in to RC stuff and the Denver Craigslist was flooded with cheap, barely used trucks etc after the COVID lockdowns. Everyone and their brother bought a Traxxas truck because they were locked at home then got bored of it or didnt want to maintain it after a few runs.

Nah I guess the point I was trying to make is 1k for skis that are new, yes, but over 9 years old and signed by skiers that are famous-enough in our community but not famous enough to justify selling them as a rare collectible or something is nuts. Plus even if gear is more expensive nowadays, $1k can still buy you a pretty sweet setup if you're smart about it, ya know.
There was a louis vuitton skateboard for like 20k that some rich trans boy bought for his skater boyfriend. It was made by a reputable skateboard deck manufacturer iirc. I assume the LV skis were made by some big company. Otherwise i guarantee they suck dick.

The idiot who bought wagners probably paid this much for them and now is trying to sell them at no cost bc of buyers remorse haha. I saw a vid on wagner skis. I applaud what ghey are trying to do, but honestly there are skateboard makers today that make decks to the best of their ability, and these decks cant compete in quality with the decks that the big distributors make with carbon fiber layers and shit. And skis are probably 100x more complicated than a skate deck, so for wagner to have the engineering wattage needed to make skis that truly challenge the skis made by bigger companies is a pretty tall task. Maybe they can, idk. But this guy trying to sell his wagners isnt a good sign.

For collectors purposes these skis might actually be worth something still in ghe plastic, because they were one of the first twins iirc. But i skied demos of them long ago and they had the most disgusting, overly stiff flex i had ever encountered. They felt like they were made of really hard plastic and had no pop or recoil whatsoever. Dynastar troublemakers which came soon after in comparison were a million times better.
Saw a post on a 2nd hand fb page, guy was selling 2011 Salomon Shoguns with some kind of old race bindung for over 300€
From the pic you could tell that they were chipped and the base had scratches so deep you could tell from a photo.
Not to think about great conditions.
He even got mad and sad they are Mark Abma Pro and not Shoguns, when I asked how he thinks he can ask that money.

I used to price police everyone that tagged me. It got to be too draining having people fight with me over stupid things. It’s much less stressful and time consuming for me to just post things. Perhaps I should do something else tho instead. Any suggestions?
