clindblomskierInterested in sewing up a pair of pants and/or a jacket... Have seen peter Christensen's work on IG and feeling hella inspired. I'm the type who prefers to make my own stuff vs. buy it so wondered if anyone has any experience making outerwear. I know @X_ANKILLA made some pants a couple years back
animatorI’ve been talking to @patagonialuke ab this, I’m currently working on a 3L Polartec Neo jacket for myself. Hasn’t proven to be super hard other than the fact that I’ve never used a sewing machine before. I’m good now but going in I had 0 experience lmao. It’s a fun time, I’ve been drawing sketches and whatnot for a bit and decided to send it. Infinite customization and perfect fit!
clindblomskierHell Yeah! I'd love to see pictures and patterns and whatever. What fabric are you using and where did you get it? That's been the hardest thing for me to figure out.

I’m using this stuff. Seems pretty nice, I’m only after a shell so I don’t need anything super crazy. I’m still working on my templates so I don’t have any pictures, but I am planning on doing a mock up out of regular cotton! I can post those when I’m done with it!
clindblomskierHave you bought the fabric yet? Just curious because I wanna know what it’s actually like vs just a description. Do you think it would be durable enough for pants? (Also making shell pants)

MoneyMakerMikeDefinitely do it. X_ankilla is definitely more experience with the sewing than me, but you can hit me up too if you got any questions. If you are doing she’ll maybe look into nylon rip stop if you wanna do it for cheap. If it’s the outer laver make sure the rip stop is 200+ denier (basically fabric thickness). For inner layer 70 denier works fine. Pants are actually super easy and if you run into any problems most things can be solved through YouTube. If you end up doing it definitely let us know how they turn out!

this is the fabric I was thinking about using, does this look good? Seems like it’s all I need in one fabric but correct me if I’m wrong
MoneyMakerMikeI think the fabric would be good based on the description. If you are just looking for a shell type pant i don't think you would go wrong there. If you can order a sample that would be good too
clindblomskierAwesome. U and ankilla have been hella helpful
