Hey @anders_a did you ever determine if you could put the Duke PT brake on a regular Jester plate/heel? Considering this...

you 100% can on a heel

the track is a bit different, a bit higher and shouldnt probably interchange them, there is a slot for the crampon holder on the brake, but if you calculate the distance needed for the crampon slot or trim it away, you should be good.

Just did it at my shop. Best results were,

Duke PT Toe
Duke PT Plate
Duke PT Brake assembly
Jester Heel

I ride at 9.5 so I’m buying a PT 12, and throwing some Griffon heels on the track. No shit, Marker, well done.

buying the 12 makes a lot of sense for you, heck I think I might get a 12, for thoose days I wanna shed some weight.



Ability to put a jester heel for when you wanna hit up the park etc.. or just do STUPID SHIT :D

I also tried out a franken ski here a few days ago, basicly combing a duke PT, with a alpinist and marker kingpin , with quiver killers. Will post sometime when Im not working, basicly skied for 6 hours today after working, then went back to work, still at work, 21:30... here.

Waaaaaay ahead of me. I love the Griffon/Jester heel and absolutely despise the PT 12 heel, so im gonna frankenbinding it and dump the PT heels so that I have the Griffon heels instead. Should be interesting for sure

the duke pt 12 heel of 2021 is the same as the 2022 squire, which is supposedly new & redesigned quite a bit.

Yeah its ugly though, I like the griffon heel better.
Gonna be buying a CT 5.0 in the next few weeks, with thoughts of doing binding freedom for Griffons, and a tech binding. Do you have any experience pairing the griffon/jester with tech bindings, and if so, which ones line up so that i can be at recommended with both bindings?

the duke PT toe, the kingpin and alpinist all has the same bolt pattern for the toe iirc, but your boot center wont be the same.

on the other hand, the griffon and duke PT has the same rear pattern, but you have to be careful of the spaceing

regular griffin + say kingpin is going to require a few holes

Grab yourself a piece of wood and checkout the templates, your shop has them all right? if not I can do it sometime in the week to show them.

Yeah I have them at work. I’m thinking of doing Griffon and Fritschi Tecton on my CT 5.0 and Norse Freeride but I’ll check it out tomorrow

How much space do you need between each hole for inserts? Like side to side?
