Do some ski companies use proprietary base formulations?

I know some companies use branded bases that you can buy yourself if you were making your own skis. On3p comes to mind with their durasurf 4000 bases. But do some ski companies have their own secret formulas for bases?

Is Durasurf even better? If so why wouldn't all companies use it since it only costs like 25 dollars more????

you jokers.... im only asking because at least for ski racing it would mak sense for companies like head and atomic to guard the trade secrets of their base.

also i dont think 0n3p durasurf is as fast as fischer or atomic or heads bases, because if it was they would use it.

Or it is better but the big guys don’t think their consumers want to deal with the trade offs.
