I think a resort would've been mad about it regardless, but with cancel culture and the wide reach of the internet, people are scared to do anything "wrong" I'd blame social media if anything.

weastcoastMy skis don’t have any edge underfoot and there was a good inch of snow on the truck when I did it. I don’t think there was any damage.

Though I think I saw that he made some sort of formal apology and got the ban removed.

- A snowboarder got permabanned from White Pass in WA last season for jibbing and breaking one of their wooden handrails for an actual staircase of a building. Dude claimed he offered to fix/pay for the repairs but resort wasn't having it. I'd link his IG but seems he seems to have wiped his acct recently.


You can argue the nature of these cases vs yours all you want, but you can't control how the resort's gonna react once they're pissed off. You got your 15 mins of fame here, I'd leave it off IG. I'm sure you know how fast shit spreads on the internets.

Getting perma banned from white pass is like 🤦‍♂️ They are like most low key ski area you will find.

What? How does this have anything to do with "keying" a car? Keying a car is an intentional action to negativily effect someone, jumping on top of a truck, with snow on it, isn't the same.

I’ve had people vandalize my car before and as someone who pays a lot for their car, I wouldn’t be super stoked if it were mine. That being said, skiing used to be fucking sick and this is the type of stuff that occurred very regularly, so honestly, good for you for sticking to your guns. Obviously there’s gonna be damage to the thing and that’s not ideal for anybody, but skiing used to be about rebelling and doing your own thing. If that’s how you wanna express yourself, power to you, just be prepared for consequences is all. You do you man

I mean more power to op for doing wtf he wants but I think anyone who works for their stuff would agree that damage to a car is still damage regardless of the intent.... Obviously keying a car and skiing on one for shits and giggles is different but the outcome is arguably the same. Like I said good for OP for having the sack to not give a fuck.

1) If it was on the roof, I prolly wouldn't even notice

2) If it was someone just blatantly key-ing my car yeah I'd be pissed because the sole intent of that act is to cause damage. Not the case here.

3) If it was someone jumping onto it on skis or lets say, they ollied off my hood on a skateboard and left a dent. No I wouldnt
fucking care at all if the damage was accidental.

I want to make it clear that I dont think this is a mentality shared by the greater public and Joe-shmoe who doesn't know what action-sports are would be rightfully pissed if this happend to him. But on a freeskiing website where urban riding is a huge focal point, Im shocked at the amount of squares on here that are like "OMG YOU SCRATCHED THE CAR" Honestly, do you not watch urban parts? Like what do you think is going on there???

You're right, and it was at Mission Ridge not White Pass. Wouldn't be surprised if they never allow him back. A couple of my friends got banned for hiking in the off season. The head of marketing and GM apparently went on a power trip when they caught them too, both had been riding there since kids and had a good relationship with management until then.
