Though I think I saw that he made some sort of formal apology and got the ban removed.

- A snowboarder got permabanned from White Pass in WA last season for jibbing and breaking one of their wooden handrails for an actual staircase of a building. Dude claimed he offered to fix/pay for the repairs but resort wasn't having it. I'd link his IG but seems he seems to have wiped his acct recently.


You can argue the nature of these cases vs yours all you want, but you can't control how the resort's gonna react once they're pissed off. You got your 15 mins of fame here, I'd leave it off IG. I'm sure you know how fast shit spreads on the internets.

Yeah but the problem with it being his truck is
A) maybe a tourist or visitor might let it slide because you’re just being young and dumb
B) it’s resort property so THEY can decide to press charges (since it’s their property) and they might make an example of you.

I don’t think that’s what any of the comments are about. I’ve seen kids on Vishnu’s that can put ski me blind folded. I simply think they are saying Vishnu skiers are usually down with an unorthodox job or two. I personally am not a large fan of the Vishnu movies but a few of their skiers are mega talented ...... and all of their skiers seem to be insane as fuck. Some of the shit they try makes me giggle, some of it makes me cringe and ask why

At least with the rail there's some actual property damage they can point to (not that I agree with the resort), banning someone for jumping off a lift is weak as fuck

I think a resort would've been mad about it regardless, but with cancel culture and the wide reach of the internet, people are scared to do anything "wrong" I'd blame social media if anything.

Inherently, its social media's fault in the end, but I'm with you on this, nobody needs to see everything you do every day, its purely for personal validation. I understand the draw to it and why people enjoy it, but in general our generation (and younger gens too) needs to open their eyes and look at how much social media actually make their lives worse, we honestly should all stop using social media, its terrible for our minds.

I blame the resorts. If they held cool rail jams where you could slide the Smith box/rail or slide the roof of a hurst or bulldozer, this poor fella wouldn't have felt the need to slide on the roof of someone else's vehicle to see how cool it is.

My skis don’t have any edge underfoot and there was a good inch of snow on the truck when I did it. I don’t think there was any damage.
