I placed first in my high school league race last year on my powder skis and freeride kit racing against a bunch of kids who had been doing it their whole life. I had never ski raced in my life. I embarrassed all the kids in their spandex. It felt amazing

boutta head out and get some bent chetler 120's with mf tele bindings and leather boots just for the satisfaction of toasting the racers. $1000+ is a small price to pay for that honor

Racing at certain levels is also just how fat you are at times... err I mean heavy :p
