How center mounted?

Best range of mounting points for the park? I have prodigy 2.0s and the shop fucked my mount and put them -6/-7. Should I still be good? Ive hit a few rails and i’ve noticed i've been unbalanced forward/backward, but not sure what to make of it. Does mounting point really make that big of a difference?

Shop did the same thing with my Prodigys and then I got them moved to center. Mount point does matter for sure, you might not notice the difference between -1 and true center but you'll definitely feel if if it's at -7. IMO recommended was a little too far back but center was a little too far forward. I think -2 would probably be a good compromise for rails and also skiing the mountain.

I’ve got the prodigy’s mounted at the freestyle position which is still like -2 / -3 but I have no problem locking in on longer features. Sounds like the tech mounted yours at the directional all mountain position.



I sort of like mine where they’re at because I can still charge on groomers without needing to chair sit and being a little bit back helps when the snow deepens (and like I said no issues spinning on/off rails or on jumps). So maybe see if you can get them moved up?


Also did you specify a mount position when you took them in?

I got my JJs mounted at 1.5 cm behind true center, so far they kill everything

Did you show them exactly where you wanted the bindings to be?

yeah told them -3 from true center, they prolly messed it up for -3 from freestyle line.

They owe you a replacement pair of skis or refund for the equivalent. At the very minimum they owe you a free remount (this would be like the dealership crashing your new car on delivery, and only offering a free car wash)

Prodigy 2.0, do minus 2 from true center. Also ALWAYS MARK THE SKI YOURSELF. Or at least write a full note on them.

Op did you even tell the shop where to mount them? Like honestly if i told a shop to mount my skis dead center and they queefed out and mounted them -7 i would be like buy me a new pair of skis u fukn choke artists....

Also my preferred location is 1 or 2 cm behind dc.
