Thoughts on Armada Declivity 102?

Been wanting to change up to a directional groomer/ powder/ all mountain focused ski for a while. I ski fast and aggressive like to get on the edges. What's everyone's thoughts on it? Any good competitors out there?

No experience with decelivtiys or how ever you spell it. I do have a pair of 4frnt msp 99s and they fricken rip, really quit stiff, can hold an edge on anything. Not super light but not super heavy and enough rise in the tip to float in pow.

4frnt and Snowledge sent me these for free I didn’t have to pay a dime that being said after skiing them I would buy them if I had to pay for them.

I probably ski 50/50 groomer/ off piste powder. Do you think 102 is too wide for what I am doing?

No not at I’d say 95
-100would be in the skinnier side for that and 105-110 would be the fatter side. Especially out west

I enjoy ripping turns so I like a stiffer ski. The rocker on these seem to be a good medium between a powder and groomer ski.

Thank you Sir. I have 96 ARVs now and feel like an extra 6 MM wont hurt me at all on the groomers.

Not to sound like a broken record but I seriously can’t recommend the Line Sakana enough. It is on the softer side but I never really feels squirrelly at high speeds. The shape of the ski makes carving on anything a blast at any speed. You can get this ski on edge at super low speed.


It’s also fat enough and rockered that it floats very well. I’ve found myself on it more than most skis in my quiver in all conditions. It’s definitely different than what you are looking at but it’s a blast to ski.

I have a former coworker who works at a popular ski shop in Truckee and he was just ALL ABOUT the declivity. Then he became a Line ambassador and suddenly he’s quiet lol

The tracer 98 was one of the best skis I’ve ever been one. Although, last time I tried it - they stiffened up the nose a tad which I didn’t love.
