rails and boxes and pipes are sooo stupid! they are absolutely fricken retarted. ive have tried many of them and they are just super lame they are no fun AND they are not good for ur skis! they even look dumb. yet everyone loves them i dont understand. like why the heck are they the only thing all the parks do now!! last year my local park had 6ish of them down at the bottom and 4 big fun jumps up top. now this year the whole fricken park is rails!! frick off rails

I dont like rails, but when all the competition are rail jams, you start practicing until you got it. Big air contests are much more fun for me
I can somewhat agree but tbh there so much less risk to rails. I’ve broken bones and torn knees trying to learn corks and rodeos but when I was learning to 270 on I never had more than a bruised rib. I feel like I have jump days, where I dedicate my day to jumping. But i don’t have rail days. I just do rails all the time

Sounds like you’re frustrated people can hit rails and love them but you can’t and are pissed about it. If you genuinely don’t like them don’t hit them, for many of us rails are fun and that shouldn’t be an issue.
nah im not 12 im 4. and i forgot! the most retarted thing is that they try to kick u off the hill when u dont hit the rails! theres a fricken rule that u have to hit the rail instead of gapping them?? like wtf. and to yall u think norquay sucks. pls stay away. it really awful. as much as a love waiting in line for an hour and skiing nothing but skied out crap. sure i get it some ppl think rails are fun for some reason beyond me but i think they are dumb. and no bud i do not secertly love rails, like i said i think they are fricken retarted

Rails take more technical ability whereas jumps just take balls and some time on the tramp. Jumps= slightly less skill, high risk Rails=a bit more skill a bit less risk. obviously there are exceptions for certain tricks but overall I have found this accurate.

you are off a fucking bean if you think norquay park is bad, as shitty as the actual skiing is the park is so damn fun and once you learn how to properly hit them i think you'll really enjoy the rails.

Bro is 100% without a doubt Joey gaping side hitter, sits on the knuckle straight airs every jump and snakes the big boys... I have come to the conclusion that this man is a racer😐
I frickin hate rails to, they suck. Why would a resort put some old ass metal in the middle of a run AND they always put them right on the middle of the best jumps. I usually just hit the jumps on the side of them tho, but I still don’t understand why they put a rail in the middle of a jump,
Same reason we put hamburger in the middle of two buns and cheese

Don't approach rails aggressively. Bring confidence but dont look them directly in the eye. I like to run my hand along the snow as I approach, wait a second then set my hand down on the rail.
"It's okay I know, yeah, i know, you're a good rail"
It can be anything like talking to it like dog, a significant other, or a mtn lion.
The big thing is conversation. It's like riding wild horses, you can't just ski up at full speed with hip hop blasting trying to slide it, you're going to get bucked. You need to talk to the park features, get acquainted. Let them know that you understand them and that you're in this together. Build a sense of camaraderie.
Some people might suggest camping overnight and cuddling a rail that's been giving you problems but I feel that that's a bit too forward.
Just make sure you wait for the rail to tell you it's time. You'll know. At that point click into your skis and start learning tricks cause it's on!
