TBTW1018Been thinking of picking up a pair of black crow atris’s or corvus’s for my next set of sticks. Currently on the CT 2’s and want something that’s a bit less of a noodle but can also still lay into a carve. Anyone have any experience riding either of the two skis mentioned above or have another ski in mind that they’d recommend? I’m 5’7” and around 125 lbs and spend time both cruising the local resort (Alta) and building booters in the backcountry. Any and all input is appreciated. Cheers!
anders_aCT 2.0 2021 is way stiffer than a 2021 atris ;) (they beefed it up)
I have both
corvus is more of a beast than playful
at 5'7 and 125 you can ski any of thoose and it will be fun,
I'd say hit a store and checkout the 2021 CT2s next to atris
revolt 104 might also suit the style you describe well.
NotTooSteezySamI have a buddy who is 5’8 130 and skis on a pair of arris here in revy. We mostly do the kind of skiing you talk about, mobbing around, shredding hard on pow days and building booters in the BC and he loves them. He says he finds them soft enough to be forgiving, but i’ve also personally seen him charge hard and lay arcs easily. our other buddy who is 180 6’2 tried them and found they were a bit softer than his head kores (no shit) but he also had all good things to say. Don’t know about the corvus tho, aren’t they a true flat tail ?

powpatrolCan’t talk for the new 2.0 but i’ve flexed all the old ct collection as well a ridden black crows camox, and flexed both atris and corvus. The black crows are comprehensively stiffer, whereas the factions have more dynamic, softer areas that compliment the freestyle shapes of the skis. If you want more fun than charge, go with the 2.0. If you want more charge than fun go with the corvus. If you want a good mix of both go with the atris
anders_aI have the camox, atris, nocta, justis and probably a few I forgot.
the 2021 CT 2.0 is way beefier than the camox and atris, and I will get to you vs the justis, but I think it probably is more powerfull than the justis.
meh on corvus
anders_aIm waiting for new pivot jig, to do a 2021 CT 2.0 and 3.0 vs 2020 and 2019 2.0/3.0 and.. m-free 108
