Is snowboarding cooler than skiing :(

Snowboards are big fat things that look cool to ride while skis are like the skinny twigs made from the left over materials at the snowboard factory :(
It's like eating the cheap small chicken wings instead of the more expensive chicken drum sticks :(
Snowboarders have names like Chad, Brad, and Jason. Skiers have names like Gunther, Rod, and Jimmy :(
Snowboarders are out there chucking quintuple corks in big air while skiers are still doing 720s :(
Snowboarders are like the highschool popular kids while skiers are like the highschool weirdos :(

If you compare an average snowboarder with an average skier the snowboarder is cooler. This is because the snowboarder is more unusual and therefore stands out and will appear as “cool”. But this is only the compared average skier. Not the type of people here on the NS forums. I am quite certain that all of us have a lot more style and more stability and control while skiing so if a jerry sees us we will be just as cool as a snowboarder perhaps even cooler since we are on the same sort of “twiggy sticks” the jerry will be amazed on our style and control. So I believe that a cool skier is just as cool if not cooler than a snowboarder!

1. Snowboarders can go bigger on jumps, but skiers have them outclassed on rails
2. Since when was spin to win cool, didn’t we just have this conversation?
3. Snowboard big air was lame IMO, all they did was boost the biggest corks they could, there were only like 2 guys not corking or grabbing melon and indy

HOWEVER

I believe that snowboarding is inherently stylish and that skiing is inherently not. My snowboarder friend just learned 3s and they already look better than mine which I have had for weeks. I still think that a a high level skiing has more opportunity for style.

Whatever, both sports are dope.

Olympic snowboard moguls isn't a thing... and I don't need to be a pro athlete to beat someone when I have a clear advantage. skis are objectively better than snowboards for maneuvering through moguls. All I need to do is move my ankles and knees while boarders have to move their entire bodies. I could carry a fuckin food platter through the bumps, good luck doing that on a board...

I didn’t say they did Olympic moguls, I said they were deaf Olympic medalists (big air, slope style). Your vehicle may have an advantage, but they are pro-level athletes. that doesn't mean shit dude. I'm faster in the moguls than nfl players too. I'm faster on a bike than Usain Bolt when he's running. I can pull more weight with my truck than an Olympic weight lifter. Skiers have an overwhelming mechanical advantage over snowboarders in the moguls. get over it. sorry you're slow tho dude. that sucks.

Here's one of the best park snowboarders in the world trying to ride powder at 21:30. Riding powder on a board is much easier than zipper lining moguls...

I dont need to prove that I'm faster than them just like I don't need to prove I can drive my truck faster than Lance Armstrong can ride a bike. post a video of them ripping up some moguls if they're so damn good.

Was part of the first generation of snowboarders and spent 20 seasons on a board. For sooo many reasons, skiing is way, way cooler. Think beyond the park and consider also BC and big mountain. Snowboarding just doesn't have the core history and culture that skiing has all over the world. The complexity of skiing is orders of magnitude beyond snowboarding. The capacity of skis as tools is waaaay beyond what can be done on a board. Boards are dumbed down and simple, yet most boarders can even actually carve. I love boarding don't get me wrong; you can just flip the switch off and have fun. But to me its nowhere near as cool as skiing.

They actually trade places as you age. I think it's harder and harder to look cool on a snowboard as you age. Skis you can just blend in with all the other old Jerry's or be a hard carving old dude

I used to have a 174, 108 underfoot K2 Sidestash in my quiver.
Did the extra width makeup for the 1cm lacking??
Is this a total volume thing or is it non-transferable?

What about if I have, say, a 210 with 65 underfoot. Can I make it with that too??
