First of all a huge shoutout to X Games for making such an event possible. Its really amazing that we get to see some crazy stuff thrown down. Although Im not really happy about this years event. To start with I would like to speak about this years big air at the and of a slopestyle run. It seems like the jump isnt as big as other years and so does the landing. We saw it on the snowboard knuckle huck. You dont really have to send it this far to get to the bottom. Its a bit of a bummer we wont see such crazy shit cause the landing is too steep and short. Second thing I noticed is that in knuckle huck you only can jump from the right side which will be a problem for some tricks and guys to make. Then lets talk about overall impression shit. I know there is a load amount of threads, discusses, comments etc. about overall impression on X. So for me it is kinda boring to have an overall impression. Therefore the riders dont give their really best on the slopestyle course, its all about safety and bringing some tricks together. In my eyes it kinda destroys the really banger runs where everybody throws their really best down. God thanks that in big air there wont be any overall impression and thanks that they went back to the old format.
