WTF is this trick? : The Thread

I fell down the rabbit whole of watching old ski videos last night and I came upon this compilation of seth morrison clips:
https://www.newschoolers.com/videos/watch/990899/Seth-Morrison-compilationThere was a few tricks in here that I have never seen before, and I am not sure it they are just weird, old rotations of tricks, or tricks that people stopped doing. The main ones I was confused by were:

1:40- seems like a lincoln but just off axis
1:52 - I have no idea, weird cork 7 rotation maybe?
2:22 - it could be just the way hes tucking, but this one also looks strange, could just be a cork 3

Watching this made me start to think. When it comes to corks, rodeos, mistys, etc. it seems like everyone currently is just striving to have the most stereotypical version of every trick on lock. I feel like every other video I watch has at least 1 cork 7 blunt, or a flatspin with a weak japan. And sure, each of those tricks does look sick, but I feel like there is a lot of room to innovate when it comes to how we all vary in the way we naturally rotate doing tricks in the air.

Bottom line, drop some clips with some wack, confusing rotations to get some inspiration going.

Damn those look sick. I think you’re right about the trick at 1:40 - it looks like he’s doing a Lincoln with a shifty. If you watch his upper body it does the normal rotation but his hips pivot like halfway

1:40 - rodeo 360 (insane ability to maintain this at just 360 rotation as most people have to bring this to 540 which is why is it looks weird)
1:52 - rodeo 720 (i know...rodeo again, but you can tell by the way his head dips to the side and backwards. he does it in an especially strange and cool manner which is why it looks weird...just seth things I guess)
2:22 - another rodeo 720 maybe? (i know maybe I'm just saying rodeo a lot, but it is a difficult trick to recognize, but again the direction his head is looking is the best tell. also, he could be going to 900 but hard to tell without the landing)

And I will admit that rodeo/flat/bio can often be up to discretion, so I will say that I 110% could be wrong, but if I am it's between rodeo and flat as those are the two most common to mistaken for each other

All in all, all those tricks are dope af and seth morrison is a boss

Also, 1:40 could just be a "wackflip"...simply a backflip that is just slightly off axis, almost like a shifty in a backflip/lincoln like @brownetown said, except one's upper body stays somewhat in line with their skis. super cool trick that only skiers who are extremely comfortable with backflips throw

1:40- Seth Morrison style Lincon 100%
1:52 - He was calling these Rodeo 7 back in the day but throws them a little different then most
2:22 - Flat/Rodeo 3 on a hip

Well wait but if it was a backflip wouldn’t his chest be facing uphill at some point? It looks like he’s always facing forward to me but idk. You know way more about tricks than me

1:52 rodeo 7 for sure, his just look unique
