SidehitsJesusYes I know. The great mount point thread. My problem is I’m coming off symmetrical twin tips that I have always rode center mounted. I ski switch consistently just carving around the mountain and I do a park run every 5 runs. Now moving to the nomad 105 and the rec mount point is 9 back from center which is just too far for me when I want to be able to ride switch and hit rails from time to time. Yea yea I could have bought a different ski but these are what I wanted. That being said. Anyone have good experience with a good mount point for these skis that isn’t 9 back? And if you could share some experience with your mount point that would be awesome. Much appreciated.
TwigI rode a pair at -2cm from true, and I still thought they rode nicely there. Yes, you need to ski with a more centered stance rather than driving the tips hard, but it didn't feel bad at any point. If you're used to center, I'd just go there personally but you could go -3 / -4 if you're worried about pow performance. But I've seen people center mount them for park and like that too... it seems like a ski with a really big sweet spot. I'd be very surprised if, given you've been riding a center-mounted ski until now, you didn't like them just fine at -2.
animatorCould you measure these straight tape for me? Or if anyone has any intel, I’ve been looking at a pair of these in a 181 but I’m not sure if they measure true at 181 or more like 179. Thanks!
ethanshredzWe've got them at my shop, I'll measure and let you know tomorrow if you don't get an answer before then!
SidehitsJesus10/10 ski couldn’t be happier after first two days on them. -2 from true is no different from a true center it feels the same. You could go -4 back and still feel relatively centered if I had to guess. Ski is unreal fully recommend to anyone interested
TriscuitJust looking for some advice, just bought nomad 105s and can't decide on my mount point. I have only skied centered park skis for the past 8 years so this is my first pair that I'm looking to be capable in the park occasionally but able to throw spins and ski switch all over. I'm thinking somewhere between -2 and -4 from CC right now. Any recommendations?

ethanshredzWhat length did you buy and how tall are you?
-2cm sounds like a pretty safe bet if you're looking for good switch performance and you're coming off centre-mounted park skis, but if the ski is long for you, you could go all the way up to true centre. In contrast, if it's on the shorter side and you want to squeeze out some better pow and variable performance, going back to -3 or -4 would help.
KCoCMdamn this makes me want some nomad 95s
TriscuitHow have you liked them so far since you've mounted them -2? I have a pair of dedicated park skis but would still like to be able to rip around the park in the nomads that I just picked up. Would you say that -2 takes away from the ability of the ski all mountain or in deeper snow for you?
