a lot of them are terrible for sure, but most legendary BC skiers were park skiers at some point. Tanner Rainville, Ski Boss, Kye Petersen, P White + C Lo, EP, Candide, the list goes on.

I do think its changing though. More pros are sticking to park/street for their full career (will wesson, tom wallisch) and we are seeing more young BC crews like the Burrrlapz and Carnage

but yeah comp jocks doing dubs into wasatch pow is a snooze fest.

It's cool to see park skiers doing tricks off natural features in the backcountry, but yeah if it's just jumps they built it's super lame

yea this is mostly what i'm talking about, no issue with guys trying to enjoy the pow landings but a lot of films seem like park jump edits that just happen to be set in the backcountry

lol that last part is so true, how many shots of jumps are we gonna see from either guardsman pass or grizzly gulch lol. At least tee-off pyramid or something.

Pollard, Pep, YLE, Hoji, these guys all killed it in the park and they put out some of the best backcountry segments. Didn’t really read the whole thread but that’s what first comes to mind when I see this thread title

Depends how its put together, the filming, and the size of jumps being sent.

Unpopuler Opinion: I enjoyed Deviate (Jossi & Torin) more then Salute (Henrik). Couldent really tell you why so I guess my first comment isnt relevent anymore, maybe cause it was free??.

I agree. Especially the Mach 3 wind lip airs. Tanner had some epic ones in the past and Sammy Carlson had some sweet ones in his recent films.
