SofaKingSickmt snow, idk if this year is different but typically carinthia peak is literally covered in park features from tiny to rull big
killington is mid vermont i guess but has fire parks
whatsamonadKillington is pretty meh usually. If they have all of their stuff going, it's amazing. Dream Maker for huge features (plus a pipe at the end), the Stash for large features and cool natural stuff, Mouse Trap for a nice mix of medium stuff, and Timberline/Neff Land for smaller stuff. When it's all open, it's dope because there's features all over the mountain, and it's definitely one of the best mountains for park skiing if that's the case.
However, they aren't very good at actually building the features up during the season. I don't ski there as much as I used to but they usually have Mouse Trap and Timberline open only, which is just meh. This year it's literally just Mouse Trap, so only one jump on the whole mountain. Stash hasn't been opened in years since I've been going there in the December/January times, and Dream Maker is rarely open either, including the pipe.
Lots of potential but you almost never see it coming together for Killi.
SofaKingSickshit, i haven't been in a couple years and i assumed they were still cruising on those parks! i guess this year is an aberration, but the peace park has some dope features, right? maybe that's only at certain times or something...?
whatsamonadYeah sorry that's what they call Timberline now. They keep changing the name like every 2 years lmao. It's usually one of two parks open and it's pretty good, but mostly rails and small jumps. This year it's not open unfortunately. Just the mouse trap park which they call the Woodward "pop up" park
SofaKingSickinteresting, last time i saw the peace park in person it had some pretty real jumps but again idk how consistent that was
thanks for the update. killy is sick but it's kind of like loon in my mind, great mountain but i don't end up going there so often because it's so popular and crowded in my experience
whatsamonadYeah the thing is when they get all the parks open, it's sick because you can find a lot of lifts that aren't crowded (usually the triple near the gondola has nobody and takes you up to the pop up park for example) and you can hit a park. This year they only had one park open is the problem from when I was there a few weeks ago.
It's definitely popular but they reserve by parking now so actually it's not too bad, especially if you know where to go to find empty lifts.
Huge variance in parks tho. If you are interested in going I'd check on their website to see what's actually open since they open shit so randomly late in the season
