Tech mounting bindings

Just mounted my first two pairs of skis and they turned out perfect no backwards mount , no +13 from rec (rip that dudes black crows) and no butchered drilling. Almost finished my ski tech training as well and i can now full tune a ski, repair and mount skis.

I don't understand how shit like this always happens with fucked up ski mounts. Does nobody else actually spend time to talk to/become friends with their ski techs/local shop? It goes a longggg way in my experience. Shoutout Higher Ground in Golden BC for always working with me to fix my busted gear/ get my skis mounted in a timely fashion!

I used to have kind of a relationship with the shop in my town, but it’s been bought and sold a few times and it’s mainly a bike shop now- and the employees are just kind of cold. I feel like if I brought in a rack of beer it would just be awkward and still cost me 85 dollars. Who knows

i always thought it was hilarious when ski shops told me it would be 2-3 weeks before they could mount my sticks up. like really? are you guys that backed up, when the 3 dudes that work there are all bull shitting at the front counter? ahah

I long since have gone to self mounting and repair all my skis. #fuckskishops

I really don't care if the internet destroys most ski shops. all they are really there for is to rent scrub ass jerries shit gear anyways.

you sir have no idea what you are talking about but cool for you to not invest into your LSS. people who have relationships with their shops dont wait 2-3 weeks. 🤷‍♂️

Even J Skis doesn't fuck with ski shops. u gotta order um str8 from the company.

Ski Shops=Rental Shops......

while J may sell direct customer he definitely supports the local ski shop you idiot...it's basically in all his marketing to support your local shop to get your skis mounted, tuned, etc...

and while we're at it. he has also partnered with many local shops to have demo J skis available...
