Flat and down rail help

Anyone have help with these. Should i hit them like i hit shotgun rails and tubes? Cause theyre a pain in the ass for me

You mean like a bar? Like as in a flat shaped sliding surface or do you mean kinks, or just a flat rail or a down rail? Please clarify?

*just a flat bar rail and any type of rail thats angled down
I always slip out on down rails and i never get balanced on flats

I broke my arm trying to put more weight on my front foot. On the 2nd day of my first year hitting rails, I caught an edge because the rail was sticky and I was out for the season. I almost quit skiing after that.

Lean forward

look at the end of the rail

wide stance

lean forward

downhill edge of downhill ski is raised up a little

arms in front of you, athletic stance, core flexed

make sure you turn totally 90* perpendicular to the rail

You might not be getting on the top of the rail. If you try and grind one side of the rail it is easy to slip out, but if you come off the lip and land straight down on the rail you are found to be sliding the most surface are, that makes it feel like sliding a skinny box.
