Best value skiing in colorado - need help

Brewing up a road trip. Skiing for two days. Wanna keep costs down as low as possible but have the most fun I can. Coming from virginia so colorado is prolly the move in terms of how far I wanna drive. Sleeping in car etc... (I have a honda element so all good)

Where should I go?

If you are a good skier looking for the “biggest mountain” experience at a reasonable price and don’t care about park and going on a weekday and sleeping in your car I would ski abasin (challenging terrain open) and find somewhere to park near golden where it’s warmer and just drive up each day.

Or if it’s a similar drive see if you can get wolf creek. Especially if it’s a weekend you’ll have way more fun at wolf creek. They also have been getting hammered with snow.
