Long poles in the park

Might be crazy but I feel I’m seeing pros use longer poles in the park than previously. Also, looks like lots of poles are telescopic now... am I seeing things or are park poles longer?

Long poles (really just normal sized poles) have been a thing for awhile, just became more popular the last 5 years or so. I'm sure they're just using whatever poles their sponsor sent them, you used to see tons of tiny poles 5-10 years ago but it seems now more skiers are using normal sized (or long) poles.

Its because skiers have realized short poles are pointless and really don't help you do anything. When I'm skiing I either use poles that are long enough to help me or no poles at all.

I’ve been using my 120cm poles lately in the park so that’s what kinda made me notice. I tried 100cm poles for awhile. I couldn’t do it. Too short.

papermacheIts because skiers have realized short poles are pointless and really don't help you do anything. When I'm skiing I either use poles that are long enough to help me or no poles at all.
