Kinkos are for old race coaches and people who don’t know about wells Lamont. But I do believe the wells Lamont are a little colder.

the price gap is even closer if you factor in buying sno-seal and time spent waterproofing the kincos. so yeah you might save a couple bucks on kincos but that few extra bucks you'd spend on Wells Lamont goes towards sponsoring magnus, phil casabon, keegan killbride, A-hall, and a bunch of other dope skiers.

also idk about you guys but this year kincos seems to be the hot new jerry ski hill fashion at my local places, really lets everyone know how much of a hardcore ski bum you are when you hop out of that 250k+ sprinter van and strut around the parking lot

My local gas station has kincos so they're my go to for work and when I forget to dry my hestras.
Either will do the trick for ya.

Got my kinkos at a farm store for 25$. Snow seal approximately 10$.

25+10= 35$

35$ < 50$

go for the kinks imo

Can you explain how buying mitts from a brand that puts some of the profit back into the kind of skiing I like is retarded? That’s like saying buying on3p is retarded because I can go get a k2 or rossingol for cheaper

It's retarded when you make it some sort of skiing moral choice as you phrased it. That's like saying always buy in a ski shop. Buy whatever is best for you. I certainly didn't buy on3p because it is an indie brand; I bought them cuz they're amazing skis.

I usually go with the “frontier gold” mitts from a hardware or hunting supply store. They are warm as fuck

the deerskin ones are softer to wipe your nose on but the cowhide ones hold up to the rope for a little longer. they only cost like $15 a pair so never worried about wrecking them

Every single dollar you spend is a moral choice in a capitalist system like it or not you are deciding what you support with your spending. It’s not something that I worry about every time I buy some shit but making a small effort support things you like matters

If it’s a bad ski shop where the customer service sucks don’t go there but if they are decent and the difference is saving a few bucks you’d better think about what it’s worth to be able to go try on every single boot from this year and handle all the new skis

Another vote for supporting brands that support the skiing you love. In this case that would be Wells Lamont, who actually give thousands of dollars to variousskiers to help them produce incredible videos.
