Best chairlift snacks?

What are your favorite chairlift snacks? Anyone got any amazing or revolutionary things you eat on the lift or in long lift lines?

I think I would have to go with slim Jims or a Clif bar. Also a good PBJ hits different, or a PBH when the honey gets a lil crystalized, literally the best.

The pocket candy bar is the way to go. Tasty af, fits in any pocket, nice when frozen, lots of sugar to replenish your energy but doesn't fill up your stomach.

Other than that. Chex Mix is hard enough not to get super crushed from moving around.

Slices of cheese and salami in a zip lock baggy + any kind of bar + candy. Pizza and beer at car. All the important food groups for maximum send.

Bowl and beer.

Back home in the EU we all wore backpacks since we could access side/backcountry from the lifts, so we’d bring a fresh baguette and cheese. Easy to carry, easy to eat, tasty as fuck.

I’ve had bike n bean burritos in my ski jacket and chipotle burritos when skiing I liked that kinda meh cold and the chipotle gave me the shits mid chair

You're really only limited by pocket size and mess potential. A sneaky subway sandwich goes in the right situations. Skied with a dude who would bring up a thermos full of soup and muck some bites with a pocketspoon between laps. One time a plastic container of that shit 7/11 nacho cheese exploded in another buddies pocket. The rewards of creative pocket snacks are great, but so are the risks.

Personally I find it hard to beat a few sticks of pepperoni.

personally a big fan of the fresh cooked pancakes method. little alcohol burner in one pocket, heavy duty ziploc of premade pancake mix in the other, and a little frying pan+ toppings. bonus w covid means theres always space in the middle of the lift to put your stove. bonus points if your lift ride is long enough to cook eggs or bacon too.

When I'm in Europe, I always pop down to the nearest charcuterie to get a hunk of prosciutto, bresaola or whatever, chop dat shit up and literally cream my pants eating it on the lift.

Not incredibly nutritious or efficient but it uplifts my soul dude.

honestly most good camp stoves are pretty solid in the wind, and pancakes are the motive since it take a whole 5 mins too cook one

This is facts. Those small family owned local places have some fucking amazing meats and cheeses

idk about anyone else, but any of these suggestions would dry my mouth out by the time I get to the top of the lift. Save those for lunch where I can chug water after eating. With that said, celery and peanut butter is a top tier lift snack, or apple slices with peanut butter.

mix the peanut butter and the jelly up in a bowl really well then put it on your bread or tortilla. tastes the same but no jelly leakage

that is the best snack. even better than just straight bacon IMO. IDK about concerned but I would take notice if I saw someone else break out the bacon treats and I would be making my best feed me bacon peanut butter expression

Spoiled as I am in the alps, I cant wait to go for a week in Japan someday so I can eat nigiri and yakitori and all that good stuff on the lift. Less skiing, more eating.
