Most downhill oriented touring boot

Gonna buy a new pair of ski boots that will mostly be used at the resort. Probably like 80/20 resort and touring. Want a boot that is stiff as i am a heavy rider. Currently using technica cochise 120, but i think they are to soft. Looking at lange XT3 130 or 140, fisher ranger 130, kore1, and even stuff like technica Zero G pro tour and atomic hawx xtd ultra 130. Have anyone tried any of these and can give a recommendation of a boot that is «true» 130 flex, which also can tour?

I'd say cochise DYN 130

cochise 120 isnt close imho

I've ridden quite a few of them, and own the dyn130, + new hawk prime xtd 130.

I would recommend tecnica zero g as a mostly touring boot. I use it for touring and the mach1 lv for resort and it’s pretty night and day. The mach1 is just much more damp and plush and helps me blast through crappy snow. Zgtp is incredible for what it is but for chopped up or firm resort days I would much rather be in my other boots.

Zero G Tour Pro and Hawx Ultra XTD are plenty stiff for most people but they’re not true 130 flex. If you truly want a hard charging boot, go Lange XT3 Pro 140 or Tecnica Cochise 130 (next years, 2021-2022).

Carny in the Mindbender 130. Lots of good options already mentioned but I’ll add the mindbender to the list for sure.

Mindbender 130 all day. Especially if you have some wider feet.

Your going to have to try all of these on as they fit totally different. Obviously a boot fitter is recommended but sometimes thats not possible.

the closest fit will be a cochise 130, should fit extremely similar to your 120s.

the cochise is decently high volume, a mind bender 130 would probably be close enough that you could make it work. Almost everything else listed is lower volume. The lighter options like the xtd and zero G will tour much better but are not really at the level that you would want to run them 80 percent inbounds.

Of all the 130 touring boots I tried on while getting fitted the xt3 felt the most true to a 130 flex boot, i don’t think I’d even notice if you put a blindfold on me and I had the xt3 on one foot and their non touring boot on the other
