That fucker did it again.

No doubt a genius twist on all the shit he’s been up but do you think Lesh deserves any credit for trolling the outdoors? I’d expect this to prompt a few strong opinions either way

my dad sent me that article not knowing that I knew who he was, as he reads the New Yorker. Part of it made me feel like the whole eco thing had gone overboard "stio part"

but this guy seems shitty to his workers and I don't think it really changed my view on him (not that the was the point of the article)

can't believe this man got an article in the New Yorker

The author makes a comparison to Edward Abbey: "'Of course I litter the public highway,' he said. 'After all, it’s not the beer cans that are ugly; it’s the highway that is ugly.'

In the Monkey Wrench Gang, the characters try their damndest to prevent mindless morons like Lesh from ruining the west. That's kind of the point of the book. Lesh isn't George Hayduke, the novel's highway litterer. Lesh is the epitome of society ruining wilderness for his personal gain. Someone should take a monkey wrench to his snowmobile.

Highly doubtful. The fact that he won't share his companies financials with the author while boosting how good the company is doing is indicative of the company's probably not doing that great.

he made clear that he had no fear of catching or spreading COVID. He doesn’t take precautions or wear a mask. Even though cases were now spiking in Colorado, he said that some doctors had told him the virus was less of a threat than the media would have us believe.
