TRIGGER WARNING!

Seriously if y'all think this is a great burger joint...lol you haven't lived. Burgers average- 5/10. Fries basically bland cardboard- 1/10.

Why tf is there such a cult following of this freaking place? It's nothing special at all. It is beyond overrated.

Besides the fact that McDonalds freezes their food and doesn't get fresh shipments in each morning. And that people at In n out actually like working there so your food is QCd before you get it and made correctly.

I don't think in n out is the greatest, but it is 100% better than Mcdonalds. Also, for people who grew up with it there is definitely a nostalgic aspect that is behind the cult-like following.

Starting pay is above minimum wage and they offer benefits. As far as drive-thru fast food chains go, that's pretty rare

Burgerville the local chain here was finally able to unionize a couple years ago. That place it probably the top of that genre' of drive through burger joints as far as using better local ingredients etc. Not sure how much people like working there even with the union but it seems better for sure

idk man, when it comes to a cheap, quality burger, in-n-out is hard to beat. Yeah yeah there's 5 guys, shake shack, etc. but all those places are like three times more expensive.

I grew up in a place with in-n-out, then moved to seattle (no in-n-out) and people totally hate on it. Definitely seems like the hate is born out of jealousy.

I might get downvoted for this but oh well. I grew up on the east coast only had in n out in college and for the price you can’t beat it it’s McDonald’s price and tastes like double the quality imo the bun is nice and buttery the patties taste fresh and are cooked perfectly and the fries while not amazing are definitely better than average. For 5 guys I personally won’t go there again it always gives me the shits kinda tastes bland to me, the fries are meh. And for the same size meal it’s more than double the price. Just my two cents

Nobody "likes" to work pretty much anywhere lol... but compared to a lot of tech giants and ever single restaurant on Glassdoor, In N Out has ranked first for 5 years for "Best Place to Work".

Going back to my first point, this means that your food is likely made a whole lot better than McDonalds because the workers actually dont mind working there and like their job a hell of a lot more than Mcdonalds or some other fast food joint.

In-N-Out is a decent fast food joint. For the price, the food is pretty good, but it’s definitely overrated. Haven’t had it in ages, but I’ll check out the new CO locations soon enough. Are the fries really that bad? The animal style double double was pretty good I thought.

Five Guys....also overrated. Their fries are really good, the burgers imo are pretty meh. It just seems so hit and miss in my experience. Five Guys must be eaten on the spot...the burgers do not hold up for take out. Soggy, gnarly mess. I don’t know... it’s hard....it’s not “fast food” where I have such low expectations, but it’s also not like a good pub style restaurant with a killer burger. It’s just an awkward middle ground that doesn’t have the cheap, guilty pleasure vibe of fast food, but also doesn’t have the $12 burger vibe of some bomb ass local pub. It’s just ok to me.

Chick-fil-A has terrible politics that they’re way too vocal about which is really annoying. That aside, they run a HELL of a business. They always have a ridiculous line, and yet they move that baby along with the quickness. There could be 15-20 vehicles in the drive thru and it means nothing because the staff crushes. I really like their chicken sandwiches and nuggets, good sauce selections, good fast food shakes, waffle fries can be underwhelming, but overall, they do a lot right.

If any of you guys are in Denver or nearby, you have to go try Birdcall. There’s 3 locations. It’s fucking amazing. It’s like the 5 guys of chick-fil-a. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich, the Buffalo....? Maaaaaan!! Plus, the s’mores shake is wild good.

Shake Shack is also fucking bomb imo. Haven’t had it recently, but holy shit haven’t ever had anything there that wasn’t fire.

In N Out employees in California are by far the happiest fast food employees I've ever met. They fucking ooze stoke and are super nice and helpful (as long as you're not an entitled piece of shit)

Shake Shack is garbo. It's basic nothing special fast food with milkshakes. Until the past few years, the only place I ever saw it was in hick areas of Ohio. They must have a new business strategy because I'm seeing their businesses pop up in all sorts of up and coming trendy places with sleek modern finishes, and even airports. It's hilarious seeing a Shake Shack in a trendy area of downtown and people lining up thinking it's even remotely close to the food all around it.

The burger is pretty good but the fries are so horrific that it taints the whole establishment. Shake shack is way better. So is five guys. So is Culver’s.


But the best burger in the world is in Minneapolis at a place called Parlour Bar.

burgers are great for the price. I’ve learned skip the fries just get 2 burgers.

we got in-n-out in colorado. Saw some “influencer” type on Instagram get salty AF when someone in line asked him to keep 6’ so he got mad and instagram bullied the guy on his story. Sickening. Then guess what? There was a massive fucking COVID outbreak at that same in-n-out that week

Theyre by no means as good as Little Big Burger as they make theirs in truffle oil, but I still think theyre solid.

Every in n out fry I've had tasted like cardboard. Plain and flavorless. They aren't bad animal style....but I would go with a lot of other fries over in n out every day of the week.

What like, they forgot to put salt on them? I guess thats happened to me on occasion too and Ive had to add salt to them but most of the time theyre perfectly salted and taste great. Either way I generally always roll with ketchup and that sorts it out salt or not.

A&W Canada is a top-5 fast-food chain in North America. You can still get a root beer in a frosted glass mug up there.

A&W America is a separate entity that's bounced around between a bunch of different conglomerate ownership groups. That's why so many US A&Ws share buildings with shitty fast food joints like KFC, Pizza Hut, and Long John Silvers. The food is totally different and nowhere near as good as the A&Ws north of the border. Love me some Canuck A&W

When it comes to burger chains, Five Guys has the best burgers; In-N-Out has the best cheap burgers; and Culvers has the best combination of quality for price. The Double Bacon Buter Burger Delux basket from Culver's 👌. I just moved to CA from MN and I won't lie, In-N-Out is pretty bomb; it's just so damn cheap, and it actually tastes decent, unlike MacDons.
