Moment Wildcat 101?

To put it very generally, and simply: these are one of the top "do it all" skis out there. Have skied the PB&J (virtually same ski) from east coast early park days, to deep days at Jackson and it really can handle everything. One thing id say is that Moments tend to be on the stiffer side as far as skis go. The K2 Reckoner 102, Line Blend, Armada ARV 106, etc are all going to be a bit softer and therefore more playful. Im 6' 180 and ride a 188, which is perfect but i also like the stiffer boards. comes in handy.

We have a pair of the wildcat 101s in for a roofbox review this year, so there will be a full review at some point but probably not until next fall after we get to ski them in spring conditions.

They are slightly different from the pbj, mostly just different lengths available, so reviews on that ski will be very close to the wildcat 101.

Its a very playful ski that still has a decent backbone, its not going to crush inbounds variable snow as well as the flat tailed ranger 102, but will be way more playful, it has a lot more rocker and a twin tail. Also for a 101 ski it floats very well due to the larger than average rocker for this waist width.

Thanks guys, I like the sound crushing of variable snow, but also like the idea of playfulness and better float.Harder groomed and bumps come into play as well as occasionally that is the case. Do people mount the Fischer’s a little forward for more playfulness?

They actually arent as different as I thought, they weigh about the same and the wildcat actually has a longer turn radius. I’d say it will mostly come down to what style you prefer to ski, if you want to be doing nose butters and do anything switch regularly and are used to more center mounted skis you will enjoy the wildcat 101 more. If you prefer to ski forwards and don’t plan on doing much playful skiing, and are used to a more traditional mount point you will get along with the ranger more.
