Beginner in freestyle skiing need some skis and what is a reccomended flex of boot for freestyle.

Good Day everyone. I was wondering if you peeps could give me a hand. I am a midwest skiier been really enjoying it this year and got myself a pair of beginner/intermediate skis to just carve the groomers. I really want to start getting into more freestyle skiing doing cool little tricks on the greens and blues some small jumps and maybe some butters. And want to try out the park for the first time maybe some tiny jumps and start with some boxes. My big clunky skis that are made to go fast will not perform in that nature. Just really want something very playful all around the mountain at a pretty cheap price and can actually still go down blacks and stuff. And I have a pair of boots they are Rossignol 80 flex boots would those br good for what I wanted to do? And one more thing I hear a lot about how to mount the bindings i do want to learn to ride switch but will only start out in the park for maybe like 15-20% because my friends just like the blues and greens so I want to play around on those. So how would you mount the bindings? Thanks everyone sorry this was a long message first time on here.

If your just trying to get into park and stuff k2 press, arv 86, or honey badgers would be soft twin tips to start with. Your weight, height and skiing ability would be helpful to know to if your willing to share

The 80 flex boots are alright for you to start as you become a better skier. Those skis I listed maybe aren’t the most durable if your rly hammering on them but are pretty in expensive. As to bindings attacks or pivots are what I can recommend. Attacks are just more affordable. I’d personally mount center in those skis if it was a different ski I would probably mount them a 1-2 back just depends.

Did you mean arv84? All of those are full cap except the arv86 and the arv86 isn’t that soft. The arv84 is full cap.

They’re all skis made for progressing beginners-intermediates. Look at the lengths. Except the honey badger but I’m still suspicious of full cap on bigger features.
I think the ARV86 is definitely a good option, I just think the ARV84 is more similar to the other skis listed

Thanks for the reply! And I am about 5'11-6ft on a good day and 130lbs.

ok for skis I’d go for a ski thats 175ish or up 175 would be on the shorter end 184 on the higher end. Since your more beginner intermediate I’m assuming I’d go around 177-180 length the skis I listed before are on the softer side of skis but are also relatively inexpensive. I don’t know if press come that big or honey badgers arv86 should tho they’d also be more stable on jumps or groomers
