Jeffrey 108 vs Prodigy 3.0

Looking to get some advice on what ski to purchase for my daily driver. I live in Breck and am a playful rider when it comes to all mountain. Jumping off every side hit, skiing a lot of variable conditions, popping off moguls, etc. Looking for a ski that can do it all and float in the occasional deep day. Both skis seem to have some hype and I am having a tough time deciding. Anyone have an insight into this decision? Also open to other suggestions. I have a dedicated park ski right now so really focusing on all mountain performance!

Dude - I ski in Tahoe and have the Jeffreys - they are friggin sweet in all conditions (I also have a pair of Magnus and Candide 4.0s but pretty much just ride the Jeffrey no matter the day at this point) and I'd recommend them to anybody. They are stiff enough underfoot for landing in variable snow but are still super easy to flex out if you like buttering and jibbing around.

Both skis are sick as fuck honestly, the Prodigy 3.0 is super fun in just about any condition. I’ve found it holds a better edge than the Jeffrey, but the Jeffrey is more stable when it comes to landings and high speed. Prodigy is also softer so it is slightly easier to butter and play around. The Jeffrey is stiffer but it also has more rocker, so you can easily leverage the profile and butter that way. I think the Jeffrey also has more pop and energy, but also requires more effort to bend and ollie than the Prodigy.

can also vouch for the Jefferys. really fun transition and sidehit sniping ski that can also charge kinda and snaps in and out of turns pretty well. i honestly had a blast ripping bumps today on mine

I’ve never skied on Factions or ON3P’s but I was just in a similar situation. (have a ski dedicated to park and looking for an all mountain ripper) I went with J Skis Hotshot and I am very impressed. They hold an edge like crazy, the rocker becomes active edge once you start carving. Can be easily maneuvered at high speed, and are very stable during landing.

Another vote for Jeff 108. My Kartel 108's (same ski) are 5 seasons strong and still hold up

I’d go for the Jeff108, but be warned they aren’t exactly nukeproof like everyone says, if you ski hard they won’t last 5 seasons(super good ski though)

If you ski hard, and don't hit rails they will last. There might even still be some Tacoma proto's on snow. I know people fucking charge, and are on skis older than 5 years.

My current pair is less than 30 days old and have only skid a few park days and an edge is starting to pull out. No hate on the ski at all though

Not trying to put you on blast, but I’ve got a pair of 2014 caylors that I ride. Yes they’re noodles at this point, but the durability is unmatched.

Bought my K108's before winter 2016-17 and they're in great shape, pretty much daily use. I'm sure they don't have as much pop as they once did but 5 seasons in and they're still holding up

I’m on my second pair In three seasons, first pair held up extremely well until a fluke took em out

Lmao nah, turns out shop that mounted them didn’t seal the screws properly and both skis cores rotted. Just landed switch off a rail and heel came out and ski snapped under it

While I have a dedicated “pow” ski (116 armada JJs) I haven’t used them since I got my Kartel108s a few years ago. Incredibly fun ski in almost all conditions
