I believe @Chunderface requested pics of my homemade snow pants so here it is. These pants took around 4 hours of sewing and another hour of planning and drawing the pattern. Cost around 60 bucks to make.
The pants have two layers. The inner layer is nylon ripstop. I chose this material because it’s lightweight and waterproof. The outer layer is a durable material I found at hobby lobby. The material feels a lot like carhartt or Dickies pants. It’s not super waterproof so I got some spray for them and they have been fine. I’ve worn them while it’s been raining and stayed dry.
The features I implemented into the pants include cinching cuffs, reinforced ankles. Crotch vents, a zip pocket, and belt loops. So far they are my favorite pants I’ve owned . If anyone has questions feel free to ask!
(the pants pictured are actually a pair I made for a friend but mine are the exact same, but I’m currently adding a yellow cargo pocket to mine so I just used these pics)
