Metal epoxy for edge crack?

Is it ok if I use steel epoxy for my edge crack? I know you’re supposed to use plastic epoxy for base shots.

Is the edge actually pulling out of the ski or is it just a crack? Typically if it's not pulling out there isn't much worth doing to it, other than maybe rounding it off a bit with some sand paper/dremel

There’s stuff like jb weld but it’s called like steel putty or something like that, I’ve used it to fix stuff on a chainsaw and stuff, it’s pretty interesting
