Gloves over a cast

I recently broke my wrist skiing and I am looking to do some light touring, but I don’t have any gloves that fits over my cast.

I have heard about socks over casts but I was wondering if anybody had other ideas!

covering it for warmth seems easy enough, but if you want water/snow resistance i'm not sure. first thing that came to mind is an ankle gator, like you'd wear to keep snow out from between your pants and your boots.... idk just spitballing here

Maybe try a goodwill for a big pair of mitts that would fit over your cast.

I paid extra for a fiberglass cast, so its waterproof! best 30$ of my life

I will try that but I already wear XL mitts... and every store is closed because of covid in Quebec

when i broke my hand i got the doctors to get my cast molded around my pole so i could ski.
for warmth i got a shitty old sock and cut out a thumb hole, and then put a big glove over it

Depending how baggy your jacket is/long the arms are you could just tie off an arm.

(Really think sock with a thumb hole is the way to go tho)

I used an oven mitt when I had a broken wrist/thumb. Worked amazing with a little duct tape at the top to keep it on.

Definitely will try the sock with an hole, if thats not enough I’ll ducktape an ovenmitt over!!

I found some huge(huge) over mitts at a thrift store and I used that when I broke my arm last year. I think black diamond or outdoor research made them.
