BigPurpleSkiSuitSpring skiing feels for me:
That distinct crisp feeling of your skin after a day in the sun without enough sunblock
That spring smell which is running water from melted snow and pine trees when you take a safety patrol meeting
That corn snow that comes in the morning once the sun hits it a little
Springtime Tailgates and Apres in the lot
Smiling faces everywhere and slushy soft snow in the afternoon
Everyone lining up to hit the wave at the bird
That April Pow day where it's magically winter again for a little
Getting better at skiing because you're strong and the snow is soft.
Long days in the sun with the boys
Naked skiing cause fuck it.

johnobleAs an ontarian, with all our ski hills closed and not looking like opening, there are little setups and mini parks showing up all over the place. There isn't much snow and conditions are marginal, but people are out all the time. Currently beautiful and sunny, so i spent all morning sessioning and my buddy came out and hit his first ever rail. Basically all the fantastic vibes of spring sessions but in January. Kinda wack, but i guess its about looking on the bright side of the situation
