Dumb questions about Japan grabs

So I don’t have any photos and I’m not a big park guy but lately at my local (Gunstock) I’ve been lappin the park a bunch on pow tide days and I’m trying to learn some new grabs. Tried some Japan grabs today (left ski up, grabbing with right hand) and couldn’t quite get my hand to connect. Anyone got any tips? Inb4 lift my leg higher/bend over more, just curious to see if anyone has like a little tip or anything

Stretching every night helps with flexibility. Which really does help with grabs

Kinda tweak your leg out to the right, it’s kinda like a tweaked safety. Bring your legs up and to the right and it should be easier to grab then

Word ok. I was bringing my left leg up, and sort of pushing my right leg out so I could get my arm under my body.

you can always lie on your back with your skis on and try grabbing to get that feeling. I find I always kick my opposite leg out so its easy to see what ski I'm looking for

Watch this.... the whole thing, for the vibes.
But pay attention for some will wesson japan grabs (4:18 + others) . Both legs tweaking to the side you are grabbing with, I personally like to dip my tips down a bit as well / maybe a very slight shifty will feel natural while reaching for it. With all new grabs just try try try until it feels normal in the air... If you are getting even remotely close with your hand and body position then you are doing great, just more practice to connect. Sidehits!

yeah just keep doing that, also what I found to help is practice on flat ground. Practice bringing your left leg up and grabbing while standing. This helps a lot as once your in the air you know exactly what to do and you know the motion that's needed,

japan grabs can be practiced while skiing too. just lift up one leg and grab the ski behind the other leg
