Cool or cringy? Everytime he does one of those daffy butters I see him reposted all over and all my snowboarder friends spam me saying “bRo YoU sHoUlD dO tHiS” but I think they look so stupid. Some of his other content is pretty swag tho. What do y’all think

not a fan but I remember an older thread about this and my final thought on him is it's super cool he made "his own" style mad respect on that. his stuff definitely appeals to people who dont ski and I feel that's why he has such a big following

Cool. He knows hella people hate daffy butters and does them anyway. A lot of skiers who have a distinct style are still doing pretty similar tricks to others, just with their own flare. Man does tricks that no one else does and then shoots the coldest look you've ever seen to the camera

Really? I think he has a great style and great attitude. Anytime I comment something funny on his posts, he responds. Most pros don't, so that elevates him for me.

Yeah I’ve noticed that and I have mad respect for it. I respect anyone who shows that level of commitment regardless of my opinion of their skiing

Got his own style, makes him a certified G in my eyes. Im not a fan of style copying, being influenced is perfectly okay but trying to completely copy someone annoys me

Yeah he just busted up his leg pretty bad, smashed it dead on into the front of a rail. I think he said he dislocated his fibula. The vid is pretty hard to watch

I may not love every trick he does but Tophaloaf vibes so hard that it’s contagious. That’s all I want from park skiing. Just to vibe that hard.

However, after seeing his injury video - I can’t listen to one song on my park playlist that reminds me of him

From what I've heard, he is an amazing human being. However, I personally don't enjoy his style. It is unique and different, but I just don't understand it.

I mean daffy butters aren't the coolest looking trick, but if you just want to do something off a little roller on your way around the mountain, I feel like it's just like doing a shifty off of em, so keep messin around on the mountain and having fun!

He seems like a nice guy. The daffy butter thing he does gets kinda stale but hes a good overall skiier and guy.

Honestly I think what he does is pretty creative. It makes me feel like he is dancing on skis and trying to be himself with it rather than skiing super hard. Nonetheless he still rips. But I also think that even though he’s good, it isn’t my favorite style.

Not a fan of his trick selection but you gotta respect it. Super good dude as well, good energy on social media and in person. Nobody else skis like that and it’s quite original (no matter how dumb you think) so you gotta at least respect it.

I like the uniqueness he brings, and I also like him as a person. I think some people forget hes a coach not a pro hes typically going to take it easy like most coaches and he found something to entertain himself and others.

There will always be the haters no matter what. I have mad respect for him and honestly, he is a stand up guy and is very creative in his skiing. I wish him a speedy recovery and hope he is back 100%. In truth being told, skiing is a form of dance and who cares what anybody thinks.

They cool but if you overdo a style of trick like he does, it kinda adds up to nothing... People mostly wanna see diversity in your bag of tricks.

Topher is the man. I remember meeting him about a decade ago when he was on park crew at Breckenridge. Super humble dude who just loves to ski. And since I met him, he just keeps rolling out more and more of his own unique flavor on skiing which IMO is the best thing anyone can do for the sport. I get tired of seeing dub cork 10 mute grabs done by 100s of kids. Maybe you don't like Toph's style, but at least its completely unique, refreshing, and hardly replicable by other people. Props to Toph for building a big following on IG, staying true to his passion, and bringing some freshness to my feed.
